Forest Hill Private Pesticide Applicator RECERTIFICATION Training 

Thursday, March 28th, 10 am & 3 pm, Community Center, 138 Blue Lake Road, Forest Hill, LA 71430

If your pesticide applicator’s card will be expiring after March 31^st, 2023, then you need to attend recertification training. The LSU AgCenter and the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry (LDAF) will hold two applicator training classes at the Forest Hill Community Center, at 3:00 pm and then at 6:00 PM. This is only for those folks who need to RECERTIFY, and cost is $40. 

TWO CHECKS WILL BE NECESSARY: $15 for instruction by LSU AgCenter & $25 for license by LDAF. For more information, contact Keith Hawkins at 337.284.5188 or email at [email protected].

Worker Protection Standard (WPS): Train-the-Trainer

            The Worker Protection Standard (WPS) regulation was updated in 2015. This training is for current Certified Commercial or Private Pesticide Applicator who need to add and/or update their Worker Protection Standard Trainer status. If you have not attended a WPS Train-the-Trainer program since November of 2016 and would like to provide WPS Training to workers and handlers, then you can attend the following WPS Train-the-Trainer training. 

By attending this meeting, you will be certified as a Worker Protection Standard (WPS) Trainer. This training is for applicators needing to obtain or update the WPS Trainer certification. The cost for this training is $25.

Note: Once you have gone through this training, this addition to your certification category will renew each time you recertify your pesticide applicator’s certification at your normal recertification training.
